On March 21, the Economic Forum "Polish-Slovenian Digital Forum Planica 2024: Capturing the power of #AI, assuring #cybersecurity" took place. The event was combined with an economic mission of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Slovenian partners.The events accompanied the visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to the Republic of Slovenia, and Izabela Albrycht took part in a panel on cybersecurity.

Opening the meeting, President Andrzej Duda stressed that Poland sees great potential in terms of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the ICT, cybersecurity, logistics, and transportation sectors. - Many Polish companies are interested in participating in Slovenian infrastructure projects, and our know-how could be used in building the cybersecurity of the banking sector, said Mr President during the Forum.

Andrzej Duda also drew attention to other areas of cooperation, such as activities concerning energy transition and climate protection. He also stressed that great potential for the development of Polish-Slovenian infrastructure connections is provided by the Trilateral Initiative (3SI).

One of the key moments of the event was a panel on cybersecurity, which focused on the potential for cooperation between Poland and Slovenia in this area.
Izabela Albrycht discussed, among other things, the need for international cooperation on cyber threats. She talked about the SOCCER project implemented by AGH University, which aims to build an academic SOC network in the Central and Eastern European region.

- Strengthening academic and innovation cooperation requires more than just qualified people: it requires, above all, data. That is why I invite our Slovenian academic partners to join the SOCCER project – said the AGH Cybersecurity Centre director, adding: - Let's work together to create the future of cybersecurity innovation!

The Slovenian-Polish Business Forum was attended by the presidents of Poland and Slovenia, as well as numerous business leaders, representatives of the public sector, and academia.

The panel on cybersecurity included:
Igor Hostnik, Milan Gabor, Marko Hölbl, Krzysztof Sierański, Jacek Łęgiewicz, Michal Wendrowski, and the discussion was moderated by Igor Evgen Bergant.
